These are the pictures of the aftermath of a Hesperia lake fishing trip. The large fish weighed over four pounds and made Phillip very happy. This is the largest trout he has landed (he has hooked larger ones but not landed them).
Someone was fishing in the spot that Phillip wanted to fish and he waited patiently but after several hours could contain himself no longer. He politely asked to cast one time and when he did WHAMMO, he hooked and land the four pound fish on his ultralight fishing pole (purchase at the Longbeach Fred Hall show) with 2 pound test and a #20 single hook.
He was jigging a power worm with a small split shot about 3' up.
The fish was so heavy that when hung on the stringer, the mouth of the fish ripped and it fell off (luckily not into the water). This explains the weird looking pictures.
